One phrase you’ll hear often around MSD is simple:
Celebrate the wins.
Not just the big project milestones or company achievements, but the people who make those successes possible every single day.
That’s why recognizing our Core Value Winners has become such an important part of our culture.
These recognitions aren’t about being the loudest person in the room or having the biggest accomplishment. They’re about honoring the team members who consistently choose to do the right thing, support those around them, and represent the kind of culture we’re committed to building.
Our Core Value Winners remind us that excellence is found in the everyday decisions. It’s showing up when your team needs you. It’s finding solutions when challenges arise. It’s putting the client first. It’s continuing to learn, growing your skills, and helping those around you succeed.
Perhaps most importantly, these recognitions come from within our own team. They’re driven by the people who work alongside one another every day and see these efforts firsthand. That makes each recognition even more meaningful because it’s a reflection of the respect earned from fellow team members.
This past quarter, we had the privilege of recognizing two individuals who exemplify what it means to go above and beyond.
Zane Garrison
Zane’s work on the 88th Medical project is a perfect example of commitment in action.
From coordinating complex shutdowns and managing temporary equipment installations to working weekends and long hours to keep the project moving, Zane has remained focused on one thing: doing what’s best for the client while supporting his team. His leadership, attention to detail, and willingness to make personal sacrifices helped ensure critical hospital operations continued without interruption.
Projects like these don’t succeed because of one big moment. They succeed because of countless small decisions made with professionalism, accountability, and dedication.
Austin Renwick
Austin continues to prove that growth happens when you never stop learning.
Over the past year, he has immersed himself in both the Fire Alarm Monitoring and Security businesses, constantly looking for opportunities to expand his knowledge and better serve our clients. His positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement have made a lasting impact on both his department and the customers he serves.
Beyond his technical abilities, Austin is someone who brings energy to every room he walks into. He builds relationships, supports his teammates, and reminds us that enjoying what you do can make a difference just as much as the work itself.
While Zane and Austin were our most recent recipients, they represent something much bigger.
Every day throughout MSD, team members are stepping up, solving problems, helping one another, and making a positive impact on our clients and our culture. Those moments deserve to be recognized because they reinforce the behaviors that make our organization stronger.
To Zane, Austin, and every team member who continues to lead by example, thank you.
We’ll never stop celebrating the people who make MSD what it is. Because at the end of the day, great companies aren’t built by buildings or equipment.
They’re built by great people.
