Giving Back: Celebrating the Season of Sharing with Our Give to Grow Program

The spirit of the holidays is often synonymous with the joy of giving and sharing. This festive season, our community involvement program, Give to Grow, has once again outshone itself in spreading cheer and warmth to those in need. Our favorite time of year to give, the holidays, have been marked by remarkable generosity and team spirit.

The Magic of the Giving Tree Program

This year, we’ve had the pleasure of playing Santa for four local families, ensuring that their children wake up to a joyful Christmas morning. In total, we prepared 180 gifts, a testament to the generosity and spirit of our team. Our Giving Tree program buzzed with activity, as team members enthusiastically wrapped and prepared each gift, including thoughtful additions like gas and grocery cards, and even stocking stuffers. The room was filled with joy, as everyone shared in the excitement of getting these gifts ready for delivery in the upcoming weeks.

Extending Our Reach: Pink Ribbon Good Group and Dayton Children’s Hospital

Our community impact extended beyond our immediate surroundings. We were thrilled to donate 62 toys to The Pink Ribbon Good Group, aiding their clients and families during this season. Moreover, our contribution of 274 gifts to the Dayton Children’s Hospital will bring smiles to the faces of many children, a gesture that fills us with immense pride and satisfaction.

Nourishing Bodies and Souls: Dayton Food Bank Drive

In tandem with our toy and gift donations, we also spearheaded a food drive for the Dayton Food Bank. Our focus was on non-perishable items, essential for providing sustenance to those in need. The drive was a resounding success, with a total of 1,878lbs of food collected. This significant contribution underlines our commitment to addressing food insecurity in our community.

A Year-Round Commitment to Giving Back

While the holiday season is our pinnacle of giving, our dedication to community involvement is a year-round commitment. This season simply amplifies what we hold dear all year long – the spirit of giving back. Our team’s enthusiasm and participation are the bedrock of our success. Together, we’ve turned the season of giving into a celebration of community, kindness, and shared humanity.

As we reflect on our achievements, we are filled with gratitude for our team’s unwavering support and dedication. The Give to Grow program is a testament to what we can accomplish when we come together for a common cause. Here’s to continuing our tradition of giving, growing, and making a difference in the lives of others, not just during the holidays, but all year round.

Happy Holidays and warm wishes for the New Year from all of us at MSD, Inc.

WPAFB Sensors Lab

Wright-Patt Air Force Base sought contractors to renovate and add onto the Sensors Lab. The HVAC portion of the project was over $13 million.

  • MSD served as the Design Assist Contractor in conjunction with Heapy Engineering for this project. In collaborating with General Contractor, Butt Construction, MSD provided Design Assist solutions for the following:
    • A large, anechoic chamber
    • An outdoor range
    • Multiple, Class-100 clean rooms
    • A three-story office building addition with DCID 6-9 requirements on many of the rooms

WPAFB Chilled Water System

The chilled water system at a high-security building on the Air Force Base was undersized and unable to keep up with demand. The facility could not operate without chilled water due to the amount of information servers in the building, and the general nature of the building itself. The entire upgrade project would need to be completed with minimal shut down time at the building. HVAC portion of this project was over $3 million.

  • MSD worked in collaboration with Diaz Construction to complete the system upgrades on time and on budget with minimal shutdowns or disruption to the facility operations.

LJB, Inc.

LJB, Inc. was renovating their Miamisburg, OH office and wanted to incorporate energy-saving upgrades.

  • MSD provided Design Build services in tandem with Greensleeves Energy Solutions, a specialist in geothermal systems.
  • MSD and Greensleeves installed a new geothermal HVAC system with open and closed loops. In addition, MSD design and installed the plumbing portion of the renovation.
