Supporting Our Community: Clays For A Cause

At MSD, Inc., we believe in the power of community and the significance of giving back—a commitment we uphold through our dedicated Give to Grow Program. This year, we had the honor of participating as an Entrepreneurship Sponsor at an inspiring event, the Victory Project Clay Shoot, hosted by Danis. This event, aptly titled “Clays For A Cause,” brought together individuals and teams from numerous local contractors to engage in a friendly yet competitive trap shooting challenge.

The Victory Project, a core focus of our Give to Grow Program, is dedicated to empowering young men through education, entrepreneurship, and enlightenment. Located in Dayton, Ohio, the Victory Project works tirelessly to mentor and guide disengaged young men, offering them a viable alternative to street life and helping them pave the way to a brighter future.

The event was not just about the competition; it was a testament to the strong bonds and collective effort within our community to support a noble cause. Monte Bush, Founder and CEO of the Victory Project, encapsulated the day perfectly:

“Victory Project has always been blessed with incredible people who support our mission. I was reminded of this again on Friday as Danis put together a fun and unique event to raise support for us, Clays For A Cause. Multiple teams in two large groups of many area contractors showed up to compete in trap shooting events. We are very thankful for everyone who braved the weather. Without folks like you, we could not provide an alternative to the streets for America’s youth.”

The weather may have been challenging, but the spirits were high. The determination and camaraderie displayed by all participants truly highlighted the collective aim of making a substantial impact on the youth of our community. As sponsors, MSD, Inc. is not only proud to support such an impactful organization but also grateful for the opportunity to engage with the community in meaningful ways.

We extend our deepest thanks to Danis for organizing the event and to all the teams and individuals who participated. Your enthusiasm and commitment are what make events like Clays For A Cause a success.     It’s truly inspiring to see everyone come together for the Clays For A Cause event! As a member of the Give to Grow Community Involvement Team, it’s heartwarming to witness firsthand the positive impact we can have when we unite for a common purpose. The Victory Project is doing incredible work with the youth of Dayton, and MSD, Inc. is proud to support such a vital cause. Looking forward to more opportunities to make a difference together!

WPAFB Sensors Lab

Wright-Patt Air Force Base sought contractors to renovate and add onto the Sensors Lab. The HVAC portion of the project was over $13 million.

  • MSD served as the Design Assist Contractor in conjunction with Heapy Engineering for this project. In collaborating with General Contractor, Butt Construction, MSD provided Design Assist solutions for the following:
    • A large, anechoic chamber
    • An outdoor range
    • Multiple, Class-100 clean rooms
    • A three-story office building addition with DCID 6-9 requirements on many of the rooms

WPAFB Chilled Water System

The chilled water system at a high-security building on the Air Force Base was undersized and unable to keep up with demand. The facility could not operate without chilled water due to the amount of information servers in the building, and the general nature of the building itself. The entire upgrade project would need to be completed with minimal shut down time at the building. HVAC portion of this project was over $3 million.

  • MSD worked in collaboration with Diaz Construction to complete the system upgrades on time and on budget with minimal shutdowns or disruption to the facility operations.

LJB, Inc.

LJB, Inc. was renovating their Miamisburg, OH office and wanted to incorporate energy-saving upgrades.

  • MSD provided Design Build services in tandem with Greensleeves Energy Solutions, a specialist in geothermal systems.
  • MSD and Greensleeves installed a new geothermal HVAC system with open and closed loops. In addition, MSD design and installed the plumbing portion of the renovation.
