As we keep growing and evolving, it felt like the right time to step back and ask ourselves: How do we sum up who we are, what we believe, and how we serve our clients in just a few words?
We explored so many tagline options. Some focused-on trust, some expertise, some on our wide range of services, or our commitment to our clients’ success. And honestly, they all spoke to part of who we are. But none of them felt true to our roots the way this one does:
Built in Ohio. Built to Last.
So why is this line? Why do these words? And what does it mean to you, our clients and partners?
It’s About Where We Come From, and Who We’re Here For
MSD was built right here in Ohio over 40 years ago. This is more than a market for us — it’s home. Our families live here, our team members raise their kids here, and we go to the same schools, shop at the same stores, cheer for the same teams, and drive the same roads you do.
When we say, “Built in Ohio,” it’s a reminder that we understand what local facilities really need because we face the same conditions you do. We know how harsh the seasons can be on a mechanical system. We know what it takes to keep your building comfortable, efficient, and safe year-round. And we believe you shouldn’t have to call someone three states away when you need help — you should be able to pick up the phone and know your partner is just down the road.

“Built in Ohio. Built to Last.” is different. It’s us. It hits home for our team because it reminds us why we do what we do and who we do it for.
It’s not just a marketing line; it’s a promise we make every time we walk onto a job site, roll out a set of plans, answer an emergency call, or pull a late shift in the shop to get a custom part done right. It’s our way of saying you can trust us today, tomorrow, and years from now.
