MSD, Inc. Walks in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness

This past weekend, on October 14, 2023, at 9:00 AM, the MSD, Inc. team gathered at the Day Air Ballpark, located at 220 N Patterson Blvd in Dayton, OH. It was a beautiful morning filled with purpose, as we walked together for a cause close to our hearts – breast cancer awareness.

At MSD, Inc., we take immense pride in our Give to Grow Community Involvement Program, and the annual breast cancer awareness walk is a cherished tradition. For years, we’ve been lacing up our sneakers and hitting the pavement, all in the name of hope and support for those affected by breast cancer.

The atmosphere at the Day Air Ballpark was brimming with positivity and solidarity. Team MSD, Inc. showed up with our signature enthusiasm, donning pink ribbons and shirts that symbolized our commitment to this important cause. As we embarked on our walk, we carried not only our collective determination but also the hope of making a difference.

The walk itself was a memorable experience, with team members, family, and friends joining in. We walked not just for ourselves, but for our loved ones, friends, and countless others whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Each step we took represented a pledge of support, a gesture of empathy, and a promise of awareness.

Though our blog post is short, our message is profound. Breast cancer awareness is not just a month-long campaign for us; it’s a year-round commitment. We believe in the power of unity, compassion, and education to combat this disease and offer hope to those facing it.

As we wrapped up our walk, we couldn’t help but reflect on the importance of coming together as a community to create positive change. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to breast cancer awareness, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.

Thank you for joining us on this meaningful journey. Together, we can make a difference, one step at a time.

WPAFB Sensors Lab

Wright-Patt Air Force Base sought contractors to renovate and add onto the Sensors Lab. The HVAC portion of the project was over $13 million.

  • MSD served as the Design Assist Contractor in conjunction with Heapy Engineering for this project. In collaborating with General Contractor, Butt Construction, MSD provided Design Assist solutions for the following:
    • A large, anechoic chamber
    • An outdoor range
    • Multiple, Class-100 clean rooms
    • A three-story office building addition with DCID 6-9 requirements on many of the rooms

WPAFB Chilled Water System

The chilled water system at a high-security building on the Air Force Base was undersized and unable to keep up with demand. The facility could not operate without chilled water due to the amount of information servers in the building, and the general nature of the building itself. The entire upgrade project would need to be completed with minimal shut down time at the building. HVAC portion of this project was over $3 million.

  • MSD worked in collaboration with Diaz Construction to complete the system upgrades on time and on budget with minimal shutdowns or disruption to the facility operations.

LJB, Inc.

LJB, Inc. was renovating their Miamisburg, OH office and wanted to incorporate energy-saving upgrades.

  • MSD provided Design Build services in tandem with Greensleeves Energy Solutions, a specialist in geothermal systems.
  • MSD and Greensleeves installed a new geothermal HVAC system with open and closed loops. In addition, MSD design and installed the plumbing portion of the renovation.
