MSD, Inc. Partners with The Victory Project to Nourish and Empower Dayton’s Youth

At MSD, Inc., we believe in making meaningful connections and impactful contributions to our community. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our ongoing partnership with The Victory Project, a beacon of hope and empowerment for young men in Dayton, Ohio. Our latest collaboration brought smiles, satisfaction, and sustenance to these remarkable individuals, providing them with a well-rounded meal that included a Subway sandwich, chips, and crackers. But our commitment doesn’t stop here; we’ve pledged to support three more events, continuing to feed the youth of Dayton and fostering a nurturing environment for them to grow and thrive.

About The Victory Project

For those who may not be familiar, The Victory Project is an exceptional, privately funded initiative aimed at empowering disengaged young men through education, entrepreneurship, and enlightenment. This program offers an invaluable alternative to the streets, serving students six days a week, year-round, at absolutely no cost. The Victory Project stands out not only for its comprehensive support system but also for its diverse offerings. Participants have access to an array of facilities and activities including a basketball court, video games, a recording studio, rock climbing, cycling, a media studio, and much more.

Victory Project is more than just a place to hang out; it’s a community that promotes character development, provides nutritional education, assists with homework, and even offers competitive wages for learning trades. The project’s schedule is thoughtfully designed to cater to the various needs of its students – from dinner and tutoring to bible study, team sports, and work opportunities. Moreover, the Overall Gentlemen (O.G.) series of courses teaches essential life skills, emphasizing the importance of healthy masculinity and preparing these young men for a bright future.

MSD, Inc’s Involvement

At MSD, Inc., we are inspired by The Victory Project’s mission and dedication to making a difference in the lives of Dayton’s youth. Our team is passionate about supporting this cause, finding joy and fulfillment in contributing to the project’s vision. The meals we provide are more than just food; they represent our commitment to the well-being and development of these young individuals. By partnering with The Victory Project, we hope to encourage more organizations to step forward and contribute to this noble cause.

Our involvement with The Victory Project goes beyond merely providing meals. We aim to be a part of the journey these young men are on, celebrating their achievements and supporting them through their challenges. We are looking forward to our next meal events and continuing to witness the positive impact The Victory Project has on its students.

WPAFB Sensors Lab

Wright-Patt Air Force Base sought contractors to renovate and add onto the Sensors Lab. The HVAC portion of the project was over $13 million.

  • MSD served as the Design Assist Contractor in conjunction with Heapy Engineering for this project. In collaborating with General Contractor, Butt Construction, MSD provided Design Assist solutions for the following:
    • A large, anechoic chamber
    • An outdoor range
    • Multiple, Class-100 clean rooms
    • A three-story office building addition with DCID 6-9 requirements on many of the rooms

WPAFB Chilled Water System

The chilled water system at a high-security building on the Air Force Base was undersized and unable to keep up with demand. The facility could not operate without chilled water due to the amount of information servers in the building, and the general nature of the building itself. The entire upgrade project would need to be completed with minimal shut down time at the building. HVAC portion of this project was over $3 million.

  • MSD worked in collaboration with Diaz Construction to complete the system upgrades on time and on budget with minimal shutdowns or disruption to the facility operations.

LJB, Inc.

LJB, Inc. was renovating their Miamisburg, OH office and wanted to incorporate energy-saving upgrades.

  • MSD provided Design Build services in tandem with Greensleeves Energy Solutions, a specialist in geothermal systems.
  • MSD and Greensleeves installed a new geothermal HVAC system with open and closed loops. In addition, MSD design and installed the plumbing portion of the renovation.
